We have had an active, firmwide diversity program for more than a decade. Morrison & Foerster consistently ranks at the top of surveys addressing workplace diversity. For 10 consecutive years, The American Lawyer has named us to its annual "A-List", which measures associate satisfaction, lawyer diversity, pro bono work and financial performance. We ranked 10th on the 2013 A-List. Cumulatively, we ranked third for diversity based on rankings of all firms over the past 10 years.

MoFo was also recognized as one of the top 10 firms on The American Lawyer's 2013 Diversity Scorecard, which ranks law firms according to their percentage of minority lawyers and partners. We have placed in the top 10 for overall diversity every year since 2005.

Diverse lawyers currently serve, or have served, in important leadership positions within the firm, including as Chair of the Firm, as Department Chairs, as Practice Group Heads, on our Executive Committee and on our Board of Directors. Our lawyers are active in leading and participating in bar and other initiatives to promote diversity within the legal community. Our commitment to mentoring our lawyers and maintaining a diverse workplace contributes to associate retention and flows upward to the diversity of our partnership.

Our lawyers are graduates of more than 87 U.S. and 70 international law schools. Many of our lawyers have been government officials. More than 327 of our lawyers have advanced degrees in addition to their law degrees. Our lawyers are fluent in 26 foreign languages.

In 2013, lawyers of color account for 13% of partners, 15% of counsel, 38% of associates and 46% of summer associates. Women accounted for 18% of partners, 30% of counsel, 44% of associates and 35% of summer associates.

The Advocate - For six years, the firm has been named one of the 10 most enlightened employers by the publishers of the leading LGBT news magazine in the United States.

Asian Avenue Magazine - In 2012, Morrison & Foerster was ranked among the 100 Great Employers for Asian Americans.

Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Silicon Valley - The firm was honored with the association's 2011 Law Firm Diversity Award, making Morrison & Foerster the second law firm to ever receive this honor.

Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom - The nation's oldest and largest bar association of LGBT persons in the field of law awarded its 2012 Legal Service Award to the firm for our demonstrated commitment to LGBT equality.

Bay Area Workplace Diversity Award - In 2011, the firm was recognized for meeting certain criteria in supporting equality in the work environment for LGBT employees.

Black Solicitors Network - Morrison & Foerster won the Retaining Talent Award at the 2012 UK Legal Diversity Awards for its improved reduced hours policy and commitment to flexible schedules for working parents.

Coca-Cola Company - The firm was recognized by Coca-Cola's Legal Division with an honorable mention for its 2011 Living the Values Award.

Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Corporate Equality Index - Every year since 2003, the firm has received a 100 percent perfect ranking in HRC's annual report on LGBT equality in corporate America.

Minority Law Journal - In 2012, Morrison & Foerster ranked ninth in diversity among U.S. law firms nationwide.

MultiCultural Law Magazine - In 2012, Morrison & Foerster ranked fifth in overall diversity and was among the Top 100 Law Firms for Women, the Top 25 Law Firms for Hispanic-Americans and the Top 25 Law Firms for Asian-Americans.

Project for Attorney Retention (PAR) - PAR honored one of our lawyers and her client with the 2011 Flex Success Award recognizing the crucial role clients play in making workplace flexibility a reality.

Starbucks Excellence in Diversity Award - In 2011, the firm was honored by Starbucks Coffee Company with its third annual award.

Vault Guide to the Top 100 Law Firms - Vault's 2013 guide ranks Morrison & Foerster among the top 25 firms for diversity with respect to women, minorities and LGBT lawyers. The firm has been ranked number one for diversity five times in the past 10 years.

Women in Law Empowerment Forum - For three consecutive years, the firm has received gold standard certification in recognition of the integration of women into the firm's top leadership.

Working Mother Magazine - The magazine has named Morrison & Foerster to its list of the 100 Best Companies for Working Mothers 13 times.

Working Mother Magazine and Flex-Time Lawyers - Morrison & Foerster has been listed as one of the Best Law Firms for Women every year from 2007 to 2011.
